Betadine Antiseptic First Aid Cream is recommended for the treatment of minor skin infections, as well as preventing infection in minor burns, cuts and abrasions. The brown colour of betadine antiseptics shows the area that has been treated and also denotes the activity of the product. While it is brown, it is working. In most cases, betadine antiseptics are non-irritating and non-stinging to the skin. They do not permanently stain the skin or natural fabrics and the treated areas may be bandaged, taped or otherwise covered.

Povidone-Iodine.

Directions:

Apply directly to the affected area two to three times daily or as directed. Wash wound with clean running water. Clean with disposable sterile swabs. Using sterile gauze, dry the wound first, followed by the surrounding skin. When the wound has stopped bleeding, apply the appropriate Betadine product to the wound and to the surrounding skin. Cover wound with appropriate size dressing if friction with clothing or further injury is likely. Secure dressing with conforming cotton bandage, fastened with safety pin or adhesive tape.
